Witch IT Review - All Ages in Cache

A Simple Game is a 1968 track by the dynamic rock band the Moody Blues. Created as well as sung by Mike Pinder, it was released as a non-album B-side to Flight My See-Saw, a track from the cd Looking for the Lost Chord. The tune was generated by Tony Clarke and arranged by Arthur Greenslade. The track was covered by The Four Tops, and their version was provided as a single in the USA in January 1972, getting to # 90 on the Signboard Hot 100. The track had already been released as a single in Britain in September 1971, having actually reached # 3 in the UK as well as # 14 in Ireland.

What are the things you look normally to distinguish a good game of a bad? Net graphics? New ideas? A fascinating story? Sorcière has nothing of this. The graphics are slightly cleaner than World of Warcraft (released more than 15 years ago). The asymmetrical multiplayer was fury at the same time. I'm sure the story exists, but I could tell you very little about it. None of this is this Sorcière is about. No, Sorcière is the kind of irreverent game you play with your friends and loved ones that you can not see in person. Sorcière can be the next big big society game you are looking for.

In _Sorcière, _ you play a witch or hunter. The gameplay concept is so simple that a tiny child could understand it. It's because it's in hide-and-seek. Witches must survive until the weather is up and that hunters are trying to kill all the witches. Simple it's good! A simple lens with many ways to do this is a solid foundation for a video game, especially the one you plan to play again and again. We leave a good place.

More than anything in the world, Sorcière reminds me of a strange little game that I spent a ton of time in the early 2000s, an demi life mod called Tuur de vampire. The two are asymmetrical multiplayer games focused on a group. Powerful but persecuted monsters who repel intelligent and desperate opponents. There of vampire had a team of vampires with different powers fighting killers with different gadgets. The peculiarities of the game led to unforgettable moments. The first time you fired on a stained glass window to catch a vampire in a ray of sunshine? Classic! Jump from a dark corner to eat a frantic victim? That's the asymmetrical multiplayer!

The conflict in Sorcière is a little less violent and antagonistic than vampire_. It is after all, basically hide-hide. The main tool of the arsenal of witches is the change of form. A witch can imitate objects in the game and set up to beat the clock. The thing is to melt. If you turn into a bottle, you do not want to be found against firewood. The shape change mechanisms themselves are pretty fun. There are not enough games that allow you to turn into a pizza pie that flows into the air.

But hiding, in the end, is an incoherent gameplay. Because if you do it well, your interaction with the game ends. You can take a walk, make a sandwich, check your twitter. There is the tension you are going to be taken and you will have to take action. But your dedication to this tension is fully rooted in the way you want to win the match. And I guess my competitive spirit is deficient because hiding started looking a lot to wait.

I loved to hide when I played with vampire_. But it was different. It was more like harassment. You wanted to stay invisible, but you feel autonomous. In Sorcière there is a lot of things to unblock, both aesthetically and for the development of the character. You can accumulate tips and skills. But this dynamic is directly integrated at the base of the game. The hunters are active, the witches are passive. It prevented me from joining me fully in the game, which attenuated my desire to win. I spent time, but I did not perfect my concealment and research skills.

Another important element in a multiplayer game like this is aesthetic. You will look a lot at the same models of characters, cards and accessories if you are dedicated to the witch hunt. The variety is important. Like attractive graphics and music. In these departments, Sorcière let me cold as ... you know. The different costumes to unlock? Quite silly and fun! But the graphic style? As I said, they have a real comic look of 2004. It keeps the game friendly, but did not upset my heart and my soul. The style was clear and easy to follow (which is nothing) but I do not really remember what it looks like when it is not right in front of me. And I do not feel very obliged to remind me.

That being said, there is a real audience for a game like this one. That's $ 20 on Steam, and I have little cousins. This is an excellent multigenerational game. It's also the kind of board game that could be fun to play remotely with a group of friends. It's the same attraction to play Mario Kart on the couch. In other words, in a world where it is difficult to meet in person and where a lot of socialization must be done online, Sorcière is the kind of simple game you can play with your non-player friends. The kind of person little likely to lose money on the currency of the game in your favorite shooting game could feel obliged to join you for a few playing towers. Sorcière during the weekend. And good, take them on it! Enjoy being a pizza on floppy disk for a few weeks of play reconciling you with your friends. It looks like 20 American dollars of laughter.
