The director of Lost PlayStation Game wants to recover intellectual property rights

It's always a sad day when a game is offline, especially when it comes to an online game only like The Tomorrow Children. The game has been closed years ago because of the server maintenance costs and a low base of players, but has since kept a worship after desperately needing a chance to play again at their favorite game. Currently, the rights of the game belong to Sony, which does not seem to do much. But the original director of the game, Dylan Cuthbert, wants it to change.

Unfortunately, right now, the IP is really that of Sony. So I will continue to try to recover the IP, and if I recover the IP, so I will definitely think about ways to restart it, but without a server, I think. Because these are the operating costs of the server that made it fall, if it did not have that, we would probably have let it work it and people could have continued to play it, do not you? »

Players are clearly not the only attracted by the current state of the game. Cuthbert started at work, paid his passion in something, and now there is only a private development version to which few people have access.

I do not like a game that I have missed, people can not play it. [...] Especially such a pretty, interesting and rich that The Tomorrow Children - it hurts not being able to play it, you know?

The chances that the Cuthbert plan bears fruit is unknown. He does not know yet if it's possible, but hope has not yet gone. The Tomorrow Children has not been a financial success, so Sony will probably prefer to sell it rather than keeping it. There is the price issue, of course, and this could end up being higher than what Cuthbert can afford for what is essentially a passion project. But with a little luck, Tomorrow Children fans could have the chance to replay at their game, even if it is only an offline version.
