The developer of Bound by Blades informs about his Kickstarter

Already in September we reported on the start of a Kickstarter game titled Bound by Blades. The developer wanted to collect $ 30,000 to finance the development of his play, which he unfortunately did not reach.

However, they still plan to publish the game, but with a smaller scope than before. In a recently published developer update video that you can see below, Zeth has discussed some of these changes, including a redesign that implements a Rogue Lite system that is inspired by Slay The Spire.

You can also see some of the changes you made, z. For example, to accelerate the reaction times for blocking, attacking and dodging. This makes the game hopefully feel much more fluid and tactile than in the demo version of Bound by Blades. If you now dodge perfectly, projectiles are also thrown back to the enemy.

It is also a new boss to see, although the character model is not finished for you. It shows how tricky the game will continue. Sometimes it almost looks like a ball-hell shooter if several flash balls fill the screen and fast evasive maneuvers are required to avoid serious damage.

The biggest change is to give up the progress style of the monster hunter, which would bring much more grinding. Instead, Bound by Blades will apply a slay The Spire map system that gives a rogue lite spin to the entire game instead of being a running RPG.

That could even be good news for some, as Roguelikes are still very much in the trend. In any case, I am pleased to see that the game is still in development, although the Kickstarter is not a complete success and hopefully turn out to be excellent title despite the reduced scale.
