Streamer waits 74 hours on trailer to mysterious, new PS5

The Streamer Rex Sterling actually wanted to make a 3 hour stream for the new trailer for the mysterious PS5 game abandoned, holding some for the hidden Silent Hill project by Hideo Kokima. There were 74 hours from it and in the end a great disappointment waited.

What is that with abandoned? You know very little about the title, but that makes him even more exciting. In April 2021, Hasan Kahraman reported on the Playstation Blog. He said: his team work in the Netherlands at a new game, which appears exclusively for the PS5.

This is to be a survival simulation that turns around the question: Can you survive alone in the wilderness? The new PS5 game should be a First-Person Horror Survival Shooter. In April then a first teaser came.

A horror game of a small studio - actually this is not so exciting.

Conspiracy Theory for New PS5 game abandoned

What is the mystery around the game? Early the rumor came up, this game would not exist, but be a kind of trick, a guise for a much more exciting game.

Actually, this would not be a new game from the Netherlands, but it would be the Silent Hill project on which the video game legend Hideo Kojima has worked. Even though the developers say at the rumor would have nothing to be tired, abandonded is a new game, this legend has since and makes abandoned for some people on the internet incredibly fascinating.

Silent Hill - P.T. (Playable Teaser) was an appetite appetizer of the legendary developer Hideo Kojima, which appeared in August 2014 as a free download for the PlayStation. The teaser was taken from the net when Kojima gave up the project. But alone the teaser was already so good that it was P.T. Again and again on lists to the best horror games of all time brought.

Strea Plant 3-hour livestream to the new trailer

That was the plan of a streamer: The team of Blue Box Game Studios had promised a new trailer for abandoned.

The Streamer Rex Sterling had before:

  • An hour from the release of the trailer to Youtube live and build a little hype
  • to look at the trailer together with his fans
  • then discuss and analyze the trailer in retrospect with his spectators

He thought: The whole action takes a maximum of 3 to 4 hours.

Streamer sends 74 hours to protest

That's how it was really: The trailer just did not come. The promised appearance date passed.

Sterling then decided to wait protest and stay on the air, because he thought, the shift could only take a few hours.

At the end, Sterling was waiting for 74 hours until the trailer appeared - he was on broadcast for more than 3 days. People came to his stream and had the feeling that something special happens - an event.

Finally, the hitherto relatively unknown sterling was relevant - he was the guy who has been waiting for the trailer for x hours.

So the trailer was then: He was disappointing. It was only to hear music and see some pictures before the announcement came: A playable prologue will soon appear.

The streamer strives for this trailer, which he has been waiting for so long, and then roars, What was the vulture that was?

Streamer says: He is not mistaken - only very committed

Does he regret that he has been waiting for so long? No, he does not do it. Sterling explains in a YouTube video that he finally became relevant with this Waiting Stream (via YouTube). There would have been a great mood in the chat:

  • 50% of users believed Kojima actually broke behind the game
  • 50% held that for nonsense

Some big streamers had the head shaken over the crazy, who waits 74 hours on a trailer, even if the studio is not a name behind it. They would have held him for a wrong Kojima fan. But not that, says Sterling. He just be a small streamer, who really wants to bring something and he is ready to invest a lot in his canal.

For sterling, the 74-hour continuous stream was apparently an event that he had the feeling of being part of a community, and have made a name for himself. He believes he has found many new spectators - the common wait and suffering is clearly connecting.
