Octopuses, toilets and Co.: The strangest games we ever played

There are games that are just strange. Be it in terms of mechanics, the storyline or just because we do funny things in them. Over the years we are with all sorts of weird and partly really abstruses games in contact, where we often have asked ourselves: What the hell is that actually. And we have listed our personal favorites below.

Eleen tries in Octodad: Dadliest Catch as Octopus

What is the biggest difficulty in life of an octopus? Of course, keeping his family and the environment from holding that it has noticed that he is not a man, but an eight-armed squid in a suit. Hannes is immersed in the shallows of Hypnospace Outlaw

Have you even consciously noticed the internet of the late 1990s? No? Neither do I. All the more fascinating I found Hypnosispace Outlaw , a completely over-rotated parody to the first steps of the World Wide Webs, in which you click as mod through fictional hypnosis pages and search for the violations of the user agreement. Did I mention that the hypnosis pace is an internet that we visit in our dreams when we sleep? It is very oblique.

The great at Hypnospace Outlaw is the authenticity with which the fame is conveyed. The game simulates a desktop surface on which we move icons to install programs, change the background. We can even download music from the hypnosis pace and feed the library of our audio player with it. That in this mix of simulation and detective game is still a pretty cool story, which is especially told about emails that land with us in the mailbox, is the icing on the 56K cake.

Tobi desperate to ride to bright: retribution

The ride to bright to the motorcycle open-world game: Retribution places itself on two of my top lists. For it is one of the strangest and at the same time one of the worst games that have ever come to me. It goes strange striking with the first game sequence, in which no sense and mind different gameplay elements are puffed together. And in this style, it continues. Just a few example of the Weirdness of this game. There are mechanical sliding doors on scrap places, motorcycle cops that explode on the side of the highway without convenient reason and probably the strangest placed sex scenes that I have ever seen in a video game.

In short, Ride to brightly realized that the development had actually been set for years before. Why ultimately it appeared? White the devil, but so I came to the enjoyment of this Machwerk.

Do you still remember the good old time of LAN parties?
