DustBiters is a game of fast-paced letters that combines the placement of letters and the car combat in Mad MAX
The new card game Morers dust is a markedly rapid rhythm game that successfully captures the frantic energy of fighting a band of rival cars while trying to survive a storm of dust. Last month, several popular game developers launched Kickstarter for dustmorers, a new card game that values simplicity and style above complexity. The Kickstarter has already reached its initial goal of $ 25,000 and still has about two weeks in the campaign. The developers of dustmorers_ we had the kindness to send an early copy to comicbook.com for review, giving us a first sample of the furious and quick action to fight while a dust storm swepts its convoy.
The rules of dustmorers are simple. At the beginning of the game, players create a convoy composed of eight letters, each of which presents one of the 21 unique vehicles. Four of these cars face a player and four to his opponent, and the address in which the convoy is traveling is determined by which player he is first. Players also have a hand of four additional cards. During each turn, players can perform up to three actions, which include build a car from your hand and place it in the front of the convoy, drive one of your vehicles forward or backward and change it for another adjacent car, draw a Letter from the deck, or using the power of a vehicle. At the end of a player's turn, the furious dust storm swepts the car at the back of the convoy.
Some vehicles benefit from being on the front or rear of the convoy, while other vehicles can use their powers to destroy opponent vehicles. For example, the power of Crusher allows him to destroy any other vehicle between him and one of the other cars of him. Hypothetically, this means that you can end all the fleet of your opponent, but only if you can take your crusher to the back of convoy without being crushed. Some letters (such as the horse) have passive powers that are activated in certain scenarios, which means that you will occasionally want to let your vehicles destroy to activate a more advantageous benefit. The game moves very fast, with a complete game that takes fifteen minutes or less, and much of the game seems to run around trying to accumulate enough actions on your opponent to eliminate it before he can counterattack.
What I liked morers of dust is that there are very few wasted letters. Since the game only consists of 21 cards, there is no space for failed vehicles and it seems that almost all letters can contribute to a possible victory. I also liked that the skills of the letters will synergize joints in multiple ways. You will not need to have two specific charts on the battlefield to activate a specific event chain. In fact, much of the game focuses on making use of what you have immediately at your disposal.
The only real reduction is that the basic set of the game only comes with 21 cards. I think players will enjoy this game a lot, but the same two players who play it again and again can burn after a hot minute. Getting more friends to play will be the key to get the most out. _ Powdermakers_, which should not be too hard to do how easy it is to configure and play the game.
You can check the complete kickstarter for dustmark_quay. The Kickstarter extends until September 13.
